Post-2021 World Series Thoughts

It's been a week since the end of this year's World Series for Major League Baseball. Where do teams go from here? There's a lot of questions into whether a 2022 season will even be a reality. No strike since the 1994 season. If one were to happen, the AL East and West take huge hits. I'd also say that would happen to the NL West and Central. As far as the Atlanta Braves go, this solidifies some of their players. Freddie Freeman adds another piece to getting himself in the Hall of Fame as do several other players.

Awards are almost over, but most have been picked. Gold Gloves had the National League dominated by the St. Louis Cardinals with five of them, including  Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt. A handful of teams in the American League had winners. I'll do some predictions quickly. I think Vladimir Guerrero Jr. gets MVP and Robbie Ray gets the Cy Young for the AL. Rookie of the Year I think will be Randy Arozarena and the Manager of the Year would be Dusty Baker. For the NL, I think Bryce Harper gets his second MVP award and Corbin Burnes gets the Cy Young. Rookie of the Year would be Dylan Carlson and Manager of the Year will be Gabe Kapler. (Keep eye on Mike Shildt though for what he did in September despite getting let go after the Cardinals playoff run ended)

Who do you think has a chance to get some award hardware? Share your thoughts.
